Term of Office:
Authority: S C Revenue Procedures Act
Membership: Appointed by County Council
Responsibilities: To provide an independent and impartial body to review property tax disputes between the assessor and the taxpayer. The Board is charged with making a fair and impartial decision that takes into account the facts as presented by the assessor and the taxpayer along with applicable South Carolina laws. The Board will provide a written decision to both parties.
Meeting Schedule: The Chairman will call a meeting when there are enough appeals to warrant a meeting or to afford the taxpayer a timely disposition of the appeal.
