Local Hospitality Tax

Greenwood County adopted a two (2) percent Local Hospitality Tax that began January 1, 2015 within the unincorporated areas of Greenwood County. The City of Greenwood’s Finance Department collects the revenue generated through the tax on behalf of Greenwood County. The 2% tax affects prepared or modified food and/or beverages intended for immediate consumption. An information sheet is available which will answer most of your questions about what is subject to the hospitality tax. A return must accompany payment, blank forms are available here.
