LOCATION:  Voter Registration & Elections

Job Requirements/Education/Special Skills and/or Training:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Requires one year experience with voter registration and/or elections or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  BS Degree in related field.  Prefer an individual with a strong working knowledge of the electoral process at the federal, state, and local level.  Experience in IT and programming electronics is an essential requirement.  Must have previous leadership and supervisory experience.  

Candidate must have proven and effective public speaking abilities as well as the knowledge and ability to effectively and successfully conduct content-specific training classes.  Successful candidates must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe.  Examples of proficiency are required. Must  possess excellent communication skills both in person and over the phone.  GIS knowledge/experience is preferred. Must be able to read and decipher maps and spreadsheets.  Must have the ability to adapt to an extremely busy environment.  Must possess the drive and ability to successfully handle several tasks simultaneously without distraction.  Must be highly detail oriented.  Successful candidate must have the flexibility to work irregular hours if necessary including nights and weekends.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Prepares and submits required documentation of the expenses for statewide Primary, Runoff and General elections for reimbursements by the State.  Assists in the processing and tabulation of absentee ballots.  Assists with Election Central and vote tabulation on election night.  Updates results link on County website.  Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals as assigned by director and/or board.  Performs related work as assigned.
